Privacy & Terms of Service

Last significantly updated 04 December 2025. Our documents are updated from time to time and we encourage you to review them periodically.

This page explains which agreements bind you and which policies apply to you. For full details please read the documents linked to below and in the Knowbot pop-up iframe widget. A particular Knowbot may be accessible on this website and/or on the website of one of MHF’s clients/partners.

“Knowbot” means the AI assistant of that name provided by its owner, the Mike Hudson Foundation (“MHF”, "we", "us", "our"). “Controller” and “Processor” have the meaning defined in UK GDPR / EU GDPR.

If You Are an End User

When you use a Knowbot of which MHF is a Controller these documents apply to you, and provide detailed information on how we collect, use and protect data. Our terms include the important condition that you must not submit any personal information to a Knowbot.

- MHF’s Terms of Service for End Users

- MHF’s Privacy Policy for End Users

- Supplier List

By using a Knowbot, you’re deemed to have carefully read the privacy policy and terms, and accepted those terms.

(For Knowbots of which MHF is not a Controller other terms and privacy policies may apply and will be clearly identified in the Knowbot pop-up iframe widget.)

Please be aware that we and our partners use AI to process your conversations with Knowbot and may monitor them in accordance with our policies.

If You Are an Organisation

You may not use or provide access to a Knowbot in any way whatsoever without MHF authorisation.

If you are an authorised organisation which:

  1. is a Controller for a Knowbot; and

  2. has embedded a Knowbot iframe in its website, or created a link on its website to a Knowbot hosted elsewhere:

then you are automatically party to and bound by MHF’s Client Knowbot B2B Terms (the “Terms”), which include GDPR/data protection terms, and you become a “Client” for the purposes of those Terms.

The Terms as they apply to you will include one of two Addendums. If you are an independent Controller with MHF your Terms will include a Data Sharing Addendum.

- Client Knowbot B2B Terms

- Data Sharing Addendum

- Supplier List

Before you deploy a Knowbot we encourage you to review and make any appropriate amendments to your own end user privacy policies and terms of service.

(If you are a Controller and we are your Processor, then your Terms will include the more complex obligations of the Data Processing Addendum and not the Data Sharing Agreement).

Data Sharing

If MHF shares with you conversation content between a Knowbot and an end user, you become a Controller in respect of that Knowbot.

Standardised Documents

We’re not able to customise Terms because our agreements necessarily mirror our obligations under the non-negotiable clickwrap/usewrap agreements we have with our processors/sub-processors.
